912 ULS with 180 hrs TT. I have only 15 hrs on this engine since I bought this Apollo Fox. Some days I get High Oil Pressure Warnings (Enigma Stratomaster) throughout the entire flight. Other days nothing at all. I've cleaned wire contacts to sender repeatedly and hand tightened as hard as I can No rhyme or reason between warnings and cleaning contact points or days when I will or will not get high pressure readings. Ordered and received an oil pressure sensor from Lockwood, just in case.
Prior to Thursday, never any cautions/warnings on low/high oil temperature. Thursday, the Enigma showed low oil temp on start -up and throughout warm-up. Waited & waited but it stayed low, OAT 93 F so I for waited for CHT to reach 170 before run up. But through 8 touch & go's it always showed low oil temp (but no high oil pressure warnings on Thursday).
Jeez, I'm getting dizzy trying to figure this out. What's with this? Gremlins or sensor replacements needed? And for my info, where is the oil temperature sensor located. Nothing on this site or that I can find on Rotax Tech site. Ideas? Insight? Suggestions? Thanks.
