Lubricant Purge prior to 1st Engine Start

A routine proceedure. Just follow the instructions in SI 912i-004R1 or SI 912-018R2

Use shop air. You may find Rotax instructions saying it can be done without shop air, but using the pressure will make the job easier, quicker and be more certain to achieve the desired results.

I had a follow-up question after completing the Lubricant Purge procedure.

I recorded 8 PSI on my Dynon panel while rotating the prop 60+ rotations.  Is 8psi sufficient as the Service Instruction only stated that you should see a PSI reading on your instrumentation, not how many psi's.

Furthermore, the Rotax video states you should have 20-40psi which clearly was NOT achieved while hand proping the engine.

Any additional info is appreciated.
