How are the "newest" 861189 floats for our 912 Bing carbs working ?

Anyone have a few years experience with the Marvel Schebler MS80-430 blue floats?

Any recommendations either way would really be appreciated.

Thanks

I've had the newest floats for about 2 years now.  They seem to be holding up quite well.

I am using the blue floats from marvel scheduler floats for over a year now and they work good, probably the last set of floats I'll have to buy. I do not understand why Rotax has had so much trouble making floats that work.

I went thru the float crIsis a couple years ago and ended up with about 12 of the Bing/Rotax floats. I was doing some idle problem trouble shooting last week. On my 912UL the floats on one side totaled 6 grams and the other side 6.6 grams. I know they weren’t that heavy when installed a year ago so I suspect they are slowly absorbing fuel and getting heavier.

Before buying the last batch I strongly considered the blue Marvel Scheblers but didn’t want to be the test pilot.

If you wouldn’t mind, I have a few questions.

    1. How much do they weigh and how long have they been in the carb bowls?

    2. Do you know if they have increased in weight since you installed them?

    3. How much did they cost?

Lockwood wants $151 for a pair of Bing/Rotax floats.

    Thanks!

I have not yet replaced floats, but am leaning toward MS unless there are recent bad experiences with them.

    Thanks,

A Marvel Schebler video shown here is what convinced me to switch over to MS. I have spent well over a thousand $ on sinking floats over the last 10 years. It is definition of insanity, same thing over and over expecting different results. Rotax should give up on this problem and use /recommend the Marvel Schebler floats.
