Rotax 582 Midrange Tuning

I’ve got a Rotax 582 on an ultralight that I’ve had a hard time tuning.

I’m having hesitation and richness on the midrange. Engine shakes around 4500-5500 rpm’s. I live in south Florida and fly below 4k ft most of the time. I have checked the charts for jetting on the 582 and I’ve made some changes to try and eliminate this midrange richness.

Here are my temps and jetting:

at WOT: 610C

at 5000rpm: 500C

I keep buying leaner needles and the hesitation has improved but doesn’t go away.

Main jet: 155

Idler jet: 45

Needle jet: 2.72

Jet needle 11K2

i started with stock settings according to jetting chart on aircraft spruce and speciality. Have since moved to 155 main jet. WOT the motor sounds and feels great. At midrange there’s hesitation and low temps (500C). I talked to chatGPT and it suggested I switch to a 2H2 needle for the midrange richness I’m experiencing. My friend has suggested I switch to a leaner needle jet.

Can anyone give me some pointers the bring my midrange performance into range?
