Crankshaft oil seal change

Does anybody know whether it's possible to change the two crankshaft end oil seals on a Rotax 503 or 505 without splitting the crankcase? It's something I've done on other engines, but there might be a 'gotcha' with these. Thanks.

The case block has a groove that grabs the seal side face to lock it into place. It was designed to be done with the cases split and not pushed into place.
