As soon as it stopped in flight did you attempt to restart and it a pull start, just wondering if it felt tight to turn over,

How long have you operated this engine...has it had any other problems or recent work/adjustments made to it.

    Nick.

Hi Nick engine has had full rebuild it has done 23.5 hrs l had just put a carby kit in it 2 hrs ago.
It has a slight miss at 3000 rpm and evens out soon as it gets over that.
When l landed l moved the prop and motor is fine check carby bowles both had fuel restarted straight away first pull check ignitions they are fine pull plugs they are brownish color.
not sure what is next dont want it to happen again.

Yes thats why l did the carbys new needles needle jet main jet no difference its like it has a flat spot.
    At high revs no problems
l didnt think it would stop the engine .

    Geoff,

Do you remember the temp and humidity that day? Could have been carb ice. Some say you don't get carb ice with a Rotax 2 cycle but I can tell you from personal experience that you can. Usually get some warning though, such as rough running and RPM drop though.

Nick is probably on the right track. It is suspicious that you were in that flat spot range when the engine stopped.

What are your EGTs at 3000RPM?

    Bill.
