    No one has mentioned the number one cause for hard starting a Rotax engine. Please check your spark plug gap! It should be .015 - .018. The plugs as purchased are normally around .032. This is too large a gap for low rpm operation (ie: pull start). In fact the engine runs better at all rpms with the closer gap.

    Try it before going to more expensive options.

    Spark plug gap was set up with .015 - .018 in mind. We are now down to the seals after replacing the pistons and cylinders. Also checking the AC generator

    Try measuring the resistance of the ignition generator coils on the stator. You can achieve this by disconnecting the two connector plugs that have a green & a white wire. Measure the resistance between the green & white wires that disappear into the crankcase, it should be between 230-280ohms, if they are close to or below 230ohms then it is probably the problem.

    check the compession on the engine the lower the comp the harder it will start mine is 150psi
