Ok.
I have an airborne edge trike.
My temp gauge gradually started flicking on and off randomly.
Now it barely registers until I turn the engine off. Then it registers correctly immediately.
If I leave the key on with the gauge registering and shut of the ignition switch the gauge stays on.
I replaced my temperature gauge and the temp sender (I have the two-wire version). Same problem.
Any ideas?

I went through everything an all looked connected well. I moved the ground to the gauge and the problem went away. I moved it from the power outlet (where you can plug in an aux gps or whatever) to a point on the frame. I seemed connected well but it wasn't soldered, it had a spade connector. Those spade connectors have caused me problems before.

Some times we have grounds, but they are poor and need to be redone or moved. Any more if it see a gauge bouncing around I check the ground first thing then move on.

It's your ground. I had same issue, eventually after new bits, ran a new ground to battery and all is well. It happens all the time with thes gauges on this forum.
