Rotary valve oil change - proper bleeding method

I have changed the oil for my rotary valve and need to know the proper way to ensure there is no air in the system. I have a 582 Bluehead in an upright position on my Kitfox. Please provide me your best practices.

As long as the header tank is connected the right way around, then fill the tank and allow the oil to drain into the oil bath.
When you fill the header tank, just half fill it so you don't cover the internal breather with oil.

Keep topping up until the level settles. You will be filling the oil bath from the bottom and so the air will bleed out of the breather pipe.

Thanks for the input.... so the oil tank has two hoses coming into it. One with an up arrow and the other with a down arrow. The hose going into the up arrow fitting has a smaller plastic insert hose that is cut with a taper. Should this plastic insert be pushed down so it is submerged or should it always stick out above the oil line?

Yes the breather hose should be above the oil level.
