My new 503 engine is equipped with a recoil mounted oil injection pump. I haven't entirely decided weather or not I plan on utilizing it at this point in time. My question is, If I decide to just run pre-mix oil and gas, can I safely run the engine without utilizing the injection pump as it's mounted, or do I have to eliminate it all together? I could conserve a bit of money initially by NOT having to purchase the oil reservoir tank, brackets, filter, 3-way splitter, etc. I figure once my budget allows more saving...I could always invest in and add them later. There are definitely pros and cons with running an injection system or not. Any information is appreciated! Thank you!
