How to become an iRMT?
If you meet the following requirements you can receive the iRMT Certificate with the appropriate rating shown:
“Maintenance” rating:
• Current holder of a license or certificate issued by your countries Aviation Authority. Or a Light Sport
Repairman Certificate holder.
• Successful completion of an Authorized Service course.
• Successful completion of an Authorized Maintenance course.
“Heavy Maintenance” Rating:
• Current holder of an A&P/AI/AME license or equivalent license issued by your countries Aviation Authority.
Or a Light Sport Repairman certificate holder.
• Successful completion of an Authorized Service course.
• Successful completion of an Authorized Maintenance course.
• Successful completion of an Authorized Heavy Maintenance course.
• Proof of adequate technical experience to a level deemed appropriate to support the rating.
• Letter of recommendation from an Authorized independent Rotax Maintenance Technician (iRMT) with
"Overhaul Rating" or Authorized Rotax Technical Instructor (RTI).
“Overhaul” Rating:
• Current holder of an A&P/AI/AME license or equivalent license issued by your countries Aviation Authority.
Or a Light Sport Repairman certificate holder.
• Successful completion of an Authorized Service course.
• Successful completion of an Authorized Maintenance course.
• Successful completion of an Authorized Heavy maintenance course.
• Successful completion of an Authorized Overhaul course.
• Proof of adequate technical experience to a level deemed appropriate to support the rating.
• Letter of recommendation from an Authorized independent Rotax Maintenance Technician (iRMT) with
