SB-915 i A-004/SB-915 i B-004 Replacement of Oil Pump Housing

Rotax OwnerThis "ROTAX Tech Tips" Video looks at the MANDATORY Service Bulletin SB-915 i A-004/SB-915 i B-004 Replacement of Oil Pump Housing for ROTAX Engine Type 915 i A and 915 i B (Series). Field observation has shown that in isolated cases strong smoke emission after longer standstill time might occur. This might be caused by seepage of oil from the oil tank into the turbocharger oil sump due to insufficient sealing. The new housing contains an additional oil pump shaft seal to avoid this effect.

Also, any engine equipped during maintenance with a part number 893106 turbocharger assembly within a designated turbocharger part serial number range must also be inspected.
