For about 25 years now I’ve been using the Odyssey 680 and find them very suitable. They seem to hold a change well and last for about 10 years.

Yeah! Every situation/country is different, however I invite potential battery purchasers to:
Have your battery dimensions, terminal type & orientation and minimum operational standards (CCA, Ah & weight) on hand
Cost BOTH automotive AND aviation offerings, that meet/exceed the above.
Consider the purchase price against projected operational life eg 5 years for an automotive / 10 for an aviation (Note: Very few lead acids will exceed a 7 years service life)
Having done your cost/benefit analysis, make your purchase.

I have just returned to the forum and found these very informative replies to my question about batteries. I haven't made a decision yet, and have been checking the Odessey batteries as well as many others. Yes, Sean, I am doing the homework and trying to find the battery that best fits my needs. Thanks to everyone for the great info and advice! Onward and Upward!
