I’m pretty sure Craig is running a 914, no mechanical fuel pump hence the requirement for at least one electric fuel pump to be operational at all times.
Cheers.
Thanks Des, my ESP wasn't on ?.
I take it all back - 914's are not so common in our neck of the woods.

Friends,
I tried various guidance on how to remove the carb without affecting the sync, but I've so far failed. I need to have the carb dome come with the lower part of the carb to do a full inspection and cleaning, but the instructions I've tried leave behind the top.
Dean @ Lockwood gave me instructions for removing the whole carb without affecting the sync, but I've also failed to do that as he described. He hasn't offered to help me further, unfortunately.
To best explain my current state of affairs I made a video. Basically, I'm trying to detach the choke cable from the bracket/assembly that holds it in place, but that seems impossible/difficult.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. There are no local mechanics with Rotax experience, so I'm really in a bind.
Craig

Hi Craig,
I saw your video and can tell you how to get the choke cable out of its bracket. Doing it this way though you will need to leave the carb dome with the cables in place and then the carb body will come out. You don't need to loosen the air box. Just loosen the rubber collar that attaches the carb and air box. Loosen the screw on the carb intake socket going into the engine. Slide the rubber socket on the air box back towards the air box and this will allow you to pop the carb out of its rubber socket.
You're welcome to give me a call for more detail or questions. 520-349-7056

The choke cable setting has nothing to do with carb sync. All synching is done with the choke fully off. So don't be concerned about completely disconnecting the choke cable from the choke lever arm.
