I’ve recently noticed my fuel pressure is reading high 5-6 psi even with only the engine fuel pump running.  The engine pump P/n 893115 was installed in 2022.   What are the operating limits for the fuel pump? The Evector AOI only lists 2.2 psi min.

I read the ROTAX OM but I haven’t looked at he actual pump S/N  yet, but I assume the pump would be after S/N 11.0036 so the upper limit should be 7.26 psi?  My gauge is marked at 5.8.

    hi David

The old pumps, before 2010, were .4 bar max, 5.8 PSI.  When they switched to the Corona pump that was raised to .5 bar, about 7.26 as you noted.  It sounds like your aircraft markings are for the old pump.  A long as you are in the range, from the very low 2.2 to the high limit of 7, don't worry.  If you don't have floats overflowing you are fine.  Check your return line for any blockage of the restrictor jet, if that is blocked fuel pressure can perhaps cause flooding of the float chamber.

    Cheers
