    Be sure that you have the room to safely put it where, 1) it won't over heat and burn something. 2) secure It so it doesn't shift or change its position somehow. The Reiff system does not come with a timer but Wallmart has them for under $10. A 100 Watt will be marginal at best. I had a 200 Watt placed inside a sheetmetal pipe just underneath the cowl so the heat would rise from the bottom up and left on all the time and it was marginal at best!

    Hi, i live in Quebec and it's commond to be at -20C in the morning on winter time.
    I use a Proheat pad under my 912 cranckcase.
    2-3 hours On B-4 the initial start-up.
    Cost is $50.00

    Just last week one of our automotive suppliers had battery blankets on sale for less than six dollars. I wrapped one around my oil tank the other day. It only uses 60 watts but next morning the oil tank was warm to the touch. Also these new Rotax oil filters seem to stop the oil from flowing back to the engine. There is very little difference in oil level after burping. So for very small charge, ten minutes effort and only 60 watts energy use you can have warm oil introduced into the system quickly. Temps were in the green much sooner. I routed the power cord up to the fuel pump area. Easy to plug in. Has anyone tried this before?
