Can wind pressure in a steep dive at idle or low throttle cause the prop on a 912 ULS to reverse direction? What are the consequences to the engine or gearbox if it does?

NO.
Even if the engine is stopped the wind pressure is not sufficient to reverse the direction.

I have a video where it appears to happen. Can't load it on this forum. Anyway to get it to you to take a look?

Ok, Thanks, I realized the prop wasn't bending but wow it sure looks like the prop spins backwards. At faster rotation it was obvious it was an optical illusion but when it completely stopped and then reversed it appeared real. Wasn't sure which way it would cause it to spin if it was real.
The question remains though. What caused the engine to run rough immediately following the illusion and the ferry pilot to call an emergency landing. We were coming down from above the clouds at 10,500 feet through a break in the clouds.
Thanks Guys
