In Rotax's installation manual they state that the two ignition wires ("..flexible wire 18 AMG (SIC) brown"?) be connected "...beginning at electronic module with one each plug socket and insulating sleeve 3.96 mm. At the new version the cable grommet and fasten connector are integrated in the 6-pole connector housing..." What does that mean?

OK. So the ignition wires go into those two openings (one in each module connector) in the 6-pole housing. Then what hole are they referring to in section 2.10, the "Easy Start function? Here 2 "violet"? wires are to go from those 6-pole connectors to be joined at the starter relay.

What am I missing? Ignition or Easy Start, but only one open connector hole in each connector.

    Hi Dennis,
On the newer engines the 6 pin plug up at the ignition mods all have wires inserted into each pin hole except one hole on each 6 pin which is empty. This is to hook up the soft start part of the ignition. A wire now goes from this pin hole from each ignition mod down to join the stater. The starter has 3 wires. One on each side and one in the center. The wires from the pins join the wire in the center of the starter solenoid. This now will activate the soft start function when you start the engine.
I tried to make this a simple explanation and I hope I didn't make it worse.

    Hi Roger,

Any wiring diagrams available? If not, I noticed the one empty pin on A & B module connector...so just join those two and connect to center starter relay post?

    THANKS, Robert
