How to start a Rotax 912 a +/- 4 hours after a flight, do I have to use shoke or not?
I have had some problems, in that case 1 day later it starts immediatly.
Is there a procedure?

    Hi Gerard,

I usually need choke on my first start of the day. If I fly somewhere for breakfast or a air show then I usually don't need choke for any starts there after. This may vary a little plane to plane I'm sure. The best thing to do is try it on your own plane. Summer starts should be easier than cold winter starts. Idle rpm and throttle position will make a difference too. If you have the idle set too low then starts may be harder. If the idle is set too high starts may be harder. If the idle is too low then you may have to give it a tad throttle on the start. Engine fuel system and different installations can also play a part.

Best thing is to just try it after you have flown next time with no choke. Mine cranks right up.

I only use choke on the first (cold) start of the day.
Any warmth in the engine it fires right up with a slight bit of throttle.
