Rotax 912 carb temperature probe

Hi. In my plane I have wastach 399W carb temp. probe put into body of water carb heater. I think it's bad place. Now it shows me temperature of water not carb...
Maybe anybody have any manual or photos/advices how to correctly put temperature probe in rotax bing carbuerator without destroying it.
Another think - my probe have broken wire, I'm looking for any used/working.
