Hi, this is the first time here for me.
I own a Tecnam P92E with a Rotax 912 UL 80hp (it has over 1650 hours). This morning after start-up the fuel pressure was 0.5bar for about 30-45 seconds. After this period it remained at about 0.3bar for the whole duration of the flight. The other parameters was ok. Another strange things happened tomorrow while i was reducing the speed. I was in base leg and I reduced the RPM (of the engine) at about 2500 RPM. Suddendly the engine had a very strong vibration so I immediately increased the RPM to over 4000RPM and the engine returned to work as usual till the end. So i'm here with two questions. Were the two events linked? What happened in both events?
Thanks in advance!!

    Hi Mattia,

It is possible they are linked. How old is your fuel pump? If that is an original fuel pump with1650 hr TTSN the a new pump may be warranted. You may want to put an inline mechanical gauge and check the fuel pressure against what is in the cockpit. It could be time for a new pump. You may want to add to your checklist to look in each carb bowl just to rule out any debris. No since leaving any stones unturned. If you have a new fuel pump do you have a fuel re-circulation line?

Thanks you for your answer! Well I actually don't now if the fuel pump is a new one or is the original-engine one because I have bought a secondhand plane! I will check in the engine logbook and I will talk with the technician!

    Hi Mattia,

The older pumps are gold in color and the new pump is aluminum with nuts circumventing its outer edges. The new pump has a drain nipple hanging downward and the old pump does not.
