Hi. I have poor starting on cold engine..

My start procedure is:
- electric pump ON
- choke FULL
- throttle on Idle

The symptoms:
- I have to crank a long time - usually two times for 5 s...
- Engine try to start but cuts off after a 1, 2 turns, after this engine starts normally
- If I pull choke (off) 2-3s after startup it will cut off

I checked carb balance - it's ok on on all range
Lowest idle RPM are about 1750-1800 RPM
No soft start on engine.

I'm thinking about make carbs regulation from beginning - mechanical and then pneumatic... but I'm not sure if no I have balanced well.

Use fresh gas maybe to start all the time. Play with choke position before starting. For me it starts best when choke is not fully out but just a tiny bit in from full out. For me, the more I start my engine, the easier time it starts the next time I try to start. Rotax engines don't like to sit. Aloha!

I believe the modules won't allow the ignition to fire until about 200 rpm (?).
Make sure battery is good and engine is cranking FAST.

By the way, the minimum rotax recommended battery cable size is 16mm2.
I've seen lots of installs below this.....
