Just after takeoff at full power the oil pressure was seen to be in the yellow almost to the red on a Dynon.

Upon power reduction it went back into the green. After landing to check the level which was okay and to look at the engine which seemed clean and perfect, another takeoff had the same indication. Upon power reduction it went back into the green.

Can anyone comment on this?

It seems likely that the pressure is controlled by a relief valve and the flow is very high at full throttle but I can't come up with a scenario to explain it.

    Hi Richard,

Usually a bad ground makes it go down, but it is still possible it's a loose ground wire.

It may also be the sender itself starting to have issues. What oil pressure sending unit do you have?
    VDO, Honeywell, ect...
