    Roger, thanks for the information.

    I was thinking of using the ClampTite tool and safety wire.

    I would like to hear what you think of this method.

    I would not safety wire my coolant hoses. There is no good way to judge tightness and safety wire will cut into hose because of such a narrow surface area. Use a good clamp with a wider surface area. If you want to remove a hose a clamp is easier, faster and reusable.
    I prefer Wurth clamps. They are the raised rib ones in the article I posted for you. No serrated clamps like you use on your garden hose. I never use serrated clamps on aircraft. I leave those for the garden hose. They can cut, over-cam and come loose.

    Here is a Wurth website and clamp type. Just buy the size that you want. These don't over cam unless you use way to much force on them and they don't come loose. It's a solid clamp.

    I wonder how long it will have to stay in the red before permanent engine damage results.
