I have two old very dirty filter. They are black.. I'm trying with K&N chemistry and I'm getting them more clean but still far away from this what should to be.

If there is any trick to clean them more efficient? Maybe bath in something else than K&N stuff?

Don't put K&N air filters in any fuel or solvents.
Use either their own brand of cleaner or some other biodegradable cleaner like Oil Eater or Simple Green in some warm to hot water. I really like Oil Eater. It is water based, won't hurt your glass windshield, cleans oil and dirt in an instant without rubbing. I also use it to clean my epoxy hangar floor.. After they dry do not over saturate the filters with oil.

"Oil Eater" comes in spray bottles up to 5 gallon buckets. I buy the 5 gal.
    Try it, you'll like it.
