Yesterday I was doing a prebuy inspection on a Kitfox with an early 912 that I'm going to buy. It has been sitting for about 5 years since the last conditional inspection, as well as the last time it ran. It took close to 100 blades to get it to burp, one cylinder seemed a bit weak. Pulled all the plugs, which looked ok, but this engine had obviously been run with a lot of avgas, if not exclusively. Anyways, pushed it to the ramp, hooked some jumper cables to it and tried to fire it up. Took a couple tries and it sputtered a few times before my buddy yelled to stop. There was oil pouring out of the exhaust. I pulled all the bottom plugs and #4 was filled with oil. Turned the motor over with the prop and the plugs removed, and oil just continually poured out of the hole as I turned it over.

Any thoughts on the cause and/or possible repair? I'm hoping this isn't going to require a new motor, as everything I see online about 912's seems to warrant a new engine...

Thank in advance!
