Yesterday I was performing a maintenance start on my Rotax 914, installed on a new Blackshape Prime, grounded for almost a month now, due to bureaucracy of civil aviation authorities in order to be able to operate with no restrictions the airport I want to base the aircraft.
Battery showed 11.9 Volts, so I decided it could be a good idea to start the engine and charge the battery while keeping those pieces moving and lubricating. At the begining I could not start the engine, probably due to the low battery voltage. I called a mechanic and tried again after battery cooled for about 30 minutes, with no other action required. This time the engine started, but after a minute or so, the engine run rough and stopped (fuel starvation). When tried again to start the engine, I noticed that fuel pressure was cero, with either one of the fuel pumps, or both.
See the video and please let me know what you think.
