I'm looking for information on vibration sensor placement (front of engine) dynamic propeller balancing on a 912ULS. I have information related to generic placement from SL-912-010, but it is not addressing specifically the need for placement at 1)front of engine and 2) NOT in-line with a cylinder. I surmise I will have to fashion my own bracket. Has anyone tackled this before? Found any ROTAX guidance on weight placement?

I place my vibration sensor right on top of the engine mounted to one of the open bolt holes. I put the photo tack sensor mounted on the #2 cylinder open screw hole on top and front of the cylinder.

we put the accelerometer near the gearbox; on the vac pump pad (if available) or one of the gearbox screws. If you are taking a spectrum analysis as well as a balance this is the best place, as the gearbox is the most likely item to produce interetesting vibs.

Same as I do except I'm in the open hole just behind that one.
