Hi, if i do an oil purge is it mandatory to check the lifters?
is there a way to do the oil purge and not check the lifters?

I know I may catch flak for this next comment.
Technically you are supposed to do the lifter check, but what you did wasn't major so you could probably get away with it safely. That said I'm usually more on the paranoid side and I do a good fairly long oil purge then I wait a minute to catch my breath and do another one. I've never had a soft lifter. I remove the top plugs and rotate that prop about 60+ times in a minute and if you turn the instruments on I usually get around 55 psi. I wear a welders glove to protect my hands and wrist so I can spin that prop with some speed. There are other ways.
Some may have a different approch, but so long as it accomplishes the same end result all is good.
The final decision is yours to make.
If it was me I'd go the extra mile. Taking too big a shortcut here could cost.

I think you DEFINITELY want to check your lifters. Dean Vogel at Lockwood told a horror story about air getting trapped there when a purge is not properly done; that trapped air is not necessarily pushed out by normal running of the engine. In the engine he showed us (actually pieces of it), it was a number of hours later that the valves actually failed. The engine was effectively destroyed.
It's not that difficult a check for your peace of mind.
