Yes Akjeff I do now recall that even with the amount of fuel that was going overboard all of the fuel pressure indications were normal. If I remember correctly we were travelling with both pumps running and despite the strong smell of fuel in the rear seat of the ELA gyro there was no urgency attributed to the smell.
After we landed and shutdown and casually tried to trace the source of the smell, it wasn't until we switched the master and fuel pumps on that the obvious flow of fuel was noticed. Then the clacker valve tightened I don't mind admitting. I had thoughts of that wonderful trick that the F111 used to perform with the ignition of the fuel jettison.

Bill,... BTW are you retired Air Force?

    I don't call myself "Retired".
I did 4 enlisted years back in the early '70s on a SAC base in Kansas as an Air Traffic Controller.
That was enough for me. I am too independent to be the military type.

I just like the way the Wings in the Profile Picture stand out.
It makes me easier to find.
It is hard to miss Roger's grin either.

Draw a circle around the Pin Hole on the outside with a "Sharpie".
If there is ever any fuel weeping the ink will bleed.

    Good idea Bill.

I loved my office view so much in the AF that I hung around for 26. Was a C-130 Instructor Loadmaster.
