    Thanks for your reply, but it does not answer my question. I know grease inhibits corrosion, but why use a "dielectric grease" (insulator) where you want good electrical conductivity?

    As long as there is good metal to metal contact it preserves the connection, it just works.

    Thanks for the data sheet. I am convinced it works because it has been used for years, and I use it myself. I just have yet to have anyone explain to me why it works. Why you would put an "insulating" grease where you want to do just the opposite. I guess I have to take it on faith.
