FAIL START
in 912 / 914 Technical Questions

Sir, My Rotax engine 914 F2 installed in Stemme S6 Aircraft did not start in 4 attempts. I have few questions please.
1. Is there any limit to starting attempts, mean if engine did not start in 1st attempt before starting any inspection of starting system how many time try to start engine.
2. There is no pause mention in maintenance manual before the next start. please advise the time to be observe between two starting attempts.
3. shortly describe the possible cause and remedy for fail start.
4. At which RPM starter disengage the crank shaft.
