It seems my 912 ULS engine carb heat linkage is balky. The Rotax manuals stipulate engine oil for the metal linkages. Is that the best? Also the cable is sticky. I believe there is a specific product that should be used and others that shouldn't. Which are the safe lubricants?

I just use engine oil for my cables and linkages and this has worked fine in Florida a high humidity/salty environment. If the cable is sticking it may have damage from corrosion internally and I would just replace it since if the carb heat gets stuck on while airborne it results in a power loss.
