I am attempting to install a IVO prop onto my Rotax engine. I think they sent me the wrong bolts as they won't thread. My engine serial # 4152255. Does anyone know what my flange bolt threading is? I need the large holes.

The prop flange is Not threaded.
See the installation Manual Chapter 61-00-00, Section 1.1, Page 4.

Whoever installed the original propeller installed threaded bushings in the holes of the prop.

    They are most likely Metric.
Measure the OD of the Bolt to determine its diameter. ex. 8mm
Measure the length of 10 threads and divide that number by10 to determine the Pitch.
    ex.15mm for 10 threads = 15/10 = 1.5mm Pitch
You would now know you have an M8x1.5 Bolt

Or take a bolt to your local Hardware store and Find a Nut that fits it.
Do NOT buy your prop bolts from the Hardware store.

    Looks like I have a 8mmx1mm (messured 7.9mm).

I'll try to hunt down these bolts. Unfortunately my only option is to order them online I think.

So after a lot of searching I have discovered that my flange is in fact threaded. It is the early style that has a 8mmx1.25 threaded bolt pattern. My engine is a 93 and they switched to the thru hole flange in 95. It is also 8mm instead of the 10mm that was also changed.

In my search for bolts it seems that class 8.8 is the right ones to get at 70mm long. I can get these from my local hardware store. Is there a better source for these bolts that hold this same class?
