I purchased a Rans S7S that I am slowly cleaning up and want to replace the fuel lines firewall forward. Searching this site I found information and purchased Gates Barricade fuel hose, Oetiker clamps and clamping tool, I have ordered fire sleeve and have band it clamps for the sleeve and am now trying to figure out the best option for fittings and fuel manifold.

The manifold fitting on my installation is an AN918 cross pipe thread that if it makes sense I would like to replace with an AN 827 cross flared tube allowing me to use flared fitting on the fuel lines. Has anyone used the Phenix fittings (pic attached)? I know Roger has expressed concern with the barbed fittings in previous posts, is there a better flared fitting alternative?

I am interested in hearing any recommendations with regard to fuel lines and fuel distribution on this installation.

Take a look at Earl's fuel line and plumbing. If you're willing to use aluminum they are very nice adapters with bulb ends rather than barbs. Also, the look at fuel injection clamps for locations that may need to be removed periodically like on inline fuel filters. The Gates Barricade hose is very good.
