I've got a 912 ULS in my newly-completed Zenith 750 - currently 43 hours on both the airframe and engine. When I turn the prop through as part of the preflight while the engine is warm, I hear sound that can best be described as a "chirp" each time I pull a blade through. This doesn't happen when the engine is cold - only when I've flown it earlier.
Otherwise, nothing abnormal has been observed regarding the engine's operation.
I'm fairly certain there's not a bird hiding inside the cowl. But I haven't been able to determine if this is something I should be concerned about. Have others experienced this? Also, is there any guidance on whether or not I should even be pulling the prop through before another flight when I'd flown recently and the engine is still relatively warm?
Thanks so much.
