Is somebody can explain me why some crankcase like serial number in the range off Rotax 914 UL 4 418 XXXand followings (BS -914-039UL) have to be replaced to obtain extention calender time to 15 years? More, what 's the real risk to extend the calendar without changing the crankcase?
Many thanks

It is as of a result of improvements to the crankcase over the years.
Early crankcases were subject to case cracks and head studs pulling out.
These issues have been addressed in the current crankcase.
