Hi Experts,

I know this has been written about before, but I'm hoping for some specific recommendations.

My build (Sling 4) has a quality gascolator on the engine side (122 micron filter) and has included some plastic filters for the cabin side, but they don't have any barbs on them (see pic), so it doesn't seem too secure to me.

The Rotax manual recommends a "fine filter" size of 100 microns, so it doesn't seem prudent to go smaller than that and I've seen on this board not to use paper filters.  So, any specific in-line filter recommendations that meet the Rotax recommendation?

Thanks!,

Craig

The pressure on the Tank side of the pump is minimal.

It is only the head pressure up to the tank which is less than 1/2 Psi per foot.

So 4 ft will be less than 2psi.

If you can not pull them Off by Hand without difficulty, They are ON to stay!

If you like to wear Suspenders with your Belt...

A light coat of "Permatex Aviation Form-A-Gasket #3 " on the Filter's fittings will seal and glue them on in addition to the clamp.

All of my Fuel, Oil and Water fittings have the #3 treatment applied.
