We've been having a lot of problems with kickback, and found the idea of paying 1000 bucks for the new ignition module to be quite offensive. Inspired by this thread at Rotary Wing Forums, I designed, built, and installed my own soft start module. I now share the project here so that others may benefit.
Currently I have installed a previous revision with corrections that have been incorporated into version 1.1. I plan to have the V1.1 pcb printed and installed within the next week or so. I haven't been flying lately, but on initial testing it seems to work very well.
If you're not up for building your own, I'd probably be willing to build some, for a price.
