Hi all,
My 912ULS vents small drops of oil (splatter) from the exhaust on start-up. Is this normal? What could the cause be and how do I trouble-shoot? Despite this, it runs great!
Any advice would be appreciated!

After a long time if engine hot run. Usually drop of oil come from exhaust. Also keep eyes on oil pressure and oil pressure relief valve. If spring tension is low, change it.

Yes, mine does the same thing most of the time on start up. I think it is moisture/water combined with exhaust soot.

There should not be any Oil spraying out of the exhaust.
As Garret said, it is likely, exhaust condensation and soot.
If you had oil in the exhaust, you would expect a start that looked similar to a B-29 with its accompanying cloud of smoke.
