That 's a 30 years old design...almost a collector's piece.

if you go with new(er)  heads, make sure they fits the rest of the engine: push rods, cylinders

be interesting to see the rest of the engine

The oldest IPC I have been able to dig up in the archives  (so far!) is dated 02/1999 and it shows the more modern construction. Still looking for some older resources...

OK! I found the 03-1990 edition, and it does show that style of heads:
