Hi everyone, I apologise if this topic has already been covered but I couldn’t find something similar in the archives.

My 912 uls has about 650 hours on it and was manufactured in Spring 2002.

The carbs have recently been balanced and it’s generally running fine except for one thing that puzzles me.

At 4000 rpm the mag drop on both ignition modules is always about 50 rpm. This remains the case down to about 2500 rpm.
Below 2500 rpm, on the A ignition only the drop is about 50 - 100 rpm.

Below 2500 rpm, when I switch to B ignition only the drop is more like 200 - 250 rpm.

This isn’t a major issue I’m just curious to know what’s the cause.
