Re: First start of day hard to turn over

Bill -- Would you please clarify your assertion that only the "A" ignition circuit should be used for Soft Start modules. Both the ROTAX ULS Operator's Manual and my RV-12 (ULS) Operator's Manual state that BOTH "A" and "B" ignition circuits should be ON for engine start. -- David

Rotax currently ships the engine with Dual "Advanced Start" (Soft) modules, so the current Operators manual recommends starting on BOTH.
Over the years the "Soft-Start" option has been implemented in many forms from both Rotax and third parties.
If in your specific case, Both of your modules have Soft-Start circuitry, then starting on BOTH would be appropriate.
If only the "A" Module has the feature, then start on the "A" module.
If you are not sure what you have, Starting on one Module will do no harm.

Does it sound like I am doing a little back-pedaling here??? Guilty as charged!!!
