You might try mixing/matching the four floats, making the 6g carb ones a bit heavier and the 7g carb ones a bit lighter. That will give you a bit more time before needing to replace.

Hello,
There is a new mandatory SB on floats.
Criterion A does not apply.
Criterion B: where can I find the part no. of the carburettor?
However my floats weigh in pairs 6.30 grams. Should I replace them?
Thanks
Jan

This shows pics of all the "bad" floats and how to identify them:

It sounds like your floats might not be any of those :)

I have reviewed the "bad" floats notice and Floats p/n 861 184 with two dots have a Big Red X and refence SB 912-067 Section 3.3 where it states floats 861 184 without marks need to be replaced. Figure 1 shows a single dot and two dots floats, and the text stated if marks appear the floats should not be replaced.
I have a spare set, two pair, of Floats p/n 861 184 with two dots, and I'm not sure whether these are reliable spares or if they too have failed. Anyone's take on this or experience with this Float would be great. Thanks!
Pat
