As Roger stated, Aluminum HVAC Foil Tape works quite well, and is simple and easy to use.
It is also the proper tape to use on your Duct Works.  (Foil Duct Tape,  Not Cloth Duck Tape!)

Water does not need to get over the Boiling point to evaporate out of the OIL.
After a flight, check the appearance of the Oil.
Unless it looks like Brown Milk, you do not have a water problem.

It isn't about boiling water out of the oil.  It's about the condensation staying behind and causing oxidation/pitting on things like the camshaft lobes, crank bearings, etc.

To be honest, I absolutely do not understand how to have anay engine but my lawnmower without a thermostat for oil and water.

No car in this world today is build without them and it is quite a charm to get warm soon and have a good cooler for hot and high.

Anything that leads to temperature off 90°C oil or water is a waste of engines lifetime and safety of service in my opinion.

Do you really have an oil thermostat on your car??  I have a bunch of cars, but only one has an oil cooler, and it does not require a thermostat.

My Rotax has a thermostat, for the coolant, with just a heat exchanger for the oil.  I don't have any cowling, though, so I still have to cover part of the radiator in the wintertime.

Part of the difference is the low liquid volume we have over an auto. 3 liters of oil vs 6 - 12 for some autos and only 3/4 gallon of anti freeze.  Plus it's easy to place a piece of 2" aluminum tape over the radiator and cooler.

Is that safe to have a heat exchange and only one radiator? Isn't the reason the oil and coolant are cooled separately is so that there is redundancy?
