Replacment oil sender for Mediamate 9306103

use the standard VDO sender....installed remotely

My Westach gauge has the oil pressure sensor in a quad guage. I don't think it accepts VDO sensors. If I used I VDO sensor wouldn't I need to get a VDO gauge?

Would be nice to keep my current guage.

the VDO sensors gives you resistance whilst the Honeywell sensor outputs a voltage. The gauge must be able to use the respective "signal". One cannot simply mix the two systems. Well, you can actually, but it won't work ;-)

A remote installation helps to reduce vibration which sensors don't really like. The VDO sensor in particular tends to fail because of vibes.  Plus, the remote installation gives you a little extra flexibility on the thread of the sensor. Of course you must use the appropriate thread on the engine housing (which was changed at a point in time - double check for your engine). There are adapters and connectors available to the fit you engine. On the other end of the tube you are free to use what threaded sensor you can source best.

I vaguely recall that there is another voltage type sensor from a Swiss manufacturer called Keller, I believe.
