I have a Vans RV-12 with a Rotax 912 ULS engine. I am not the builder of the RV-12. As a new pilot I’d like to fly as often as possible but the weather doesn’t always cooperate. Would I be creating issues with the engine if just taxied the plane around my airport from time to time? Thanks.

Just get the oil temp up over 200 deg to boil off the moisture. If you see water droplets/moisture/milky oil underneath the oil cap after shutdown you did not heat up the oil high enough and or long enough. That is the main worry for that subject. Good luck with your flying and new plane.
