Hey Roger,

Thanks 4 all the good stuff you send our way!

A group here in NZ were discussing Coolant. We have read your info from years back and we are up to speed on types n volumes etc. You mention 2 YEARS as a ‘recommended’ change out a couple of times...is there a ROTAX reference to this ‘2 year period’? (We can’t find it..)! Cheers Roger.? Frank

A standard coolant usually gets changed every 2-3 years. Many use a recommended extended life 50/50 coolant and change it at the 5 year rubber replacement. I do not know what is available in other countries. There is nothing wrong with changing any coolant every few years if that’s what you wanted to do. It’s right around 3/4+ gallon depending on your aircraft design.
