Hey Guys/Gals
Setting all the trigger coils to the correct gap and snugging up the main jets and jet needles in the carbs greatly improved the engine issue.
It's almost non-existent now. So I'm good now. Don't see the need to spend the big bucks on CDI modules just to see if it will get better.
Thanks for all the suggestions and comments
Happy New Year!

Glenn, can you clarify what “snugging up” means?

I was thinking that maybe I was getting leak by around the main jet or the needle jet. So I got the wrenches and checked them.
I got about 1/8 to 1/4 turn on them.

Hello all,
I figured out what it was. Brett helped some, so thanks Brett!
When I rebuilt the carbs I put the wrong o-ring on the idle jets? I guess fuel was leaking by them causing a rich mixture just off idle.?
I ordered the right ones and replaced the o-rings on the idle jets and idle mixture screws. Problem fixed!
I tell everyone I go to school all the time. The school of hard knocks that is!
