We have this high pitch noise after take off that disappears when coming down to 3000 rpm, it is not noticeable at take off or landing, only once stablished on normal cruise.

It is a CT sw with Rotax 912, magnetic plug perfect, everything seems correct, all in green.

Sorry for the video, it was only for noise recording with my phone while flying back to land.

Any ideas?

Your high pitched noise is coming from a slit in the wing gap tape whether you can see it or not and is usually on the bottom of the wing This isn't new and many CT owners have experienced it. Replace the wing gap tape and it will go away. I've had many swear their tape wasn't cracked, but as soon as they replaced it the high pitch whine goes away. The slit in the tape acts like a reed on a musical instrument and at certain speeds and angles produces the high pitch sound. The slit in the tape may be almost unnoticeable.

    You were right Roger!!!

    Thank you very much!

It was the tape at the bottom of the tail.

this is it after redoing it.

Maaaate! Whats with all the tape ? You've lost 5 knots and shifted the Cof B - should have been able to achieve a nice clean look with just 2-3 lengths.?

I just use the Bolus 1" tape for everything on the Flight Design CT's. Wing gaps, leg fairings, the under fin and the gap on top and bottom of the stabilator. It works just fine. When you apply it correctly it rarely ever splits or cracks and can last years. When you apply the tape DO NOT stretch it or it will split down the road. Pull it out and just lay it down. I clean the old residue off with "Goof-Off" cleaner. It's meant for just that type of job.
